There are alot of different people in the world. That means that there are alot of different people giving the advice and alot of different situations where certain advice will be helpful. None of the advice is WRONG, but it might not be right for you (and that's confusing).
Everyone is speaking from their own lens and often lenses are limited. Most mainstream advice falls into very black and white thinking but human development and humans IN GENERAL are veeeeeeerrrrrry grey.
Grey is all the space between black & white. The area that's not clear. It's not straightforward, and is based on (but not limited to) a combination of factors that include, goals, preferences, development, temperament, physical capabilities & mental health.
So what does all of this mean for parenting?
It means that we have to figure out how to balance the realities of how infants feed, sleep & develop (biologically attached) with the realities of our individualistic modern day lives-because BOTH. REALITIES. ARE. TRUE.
